Residents of the Egbeda village in Kobape, Obafemi/Owode local government area of Ogun State, were ecstatic to get a transformer from a private firm lately to put an end to the neighborhood’s 12-year period of darkness.
To provide locals and inhabitants of the neighbourhood a new lease on life, Crestline Properties Nigeria Limited donated the transformer.
Speaking to reporters, Baale of Egbeda village Chief Sunday Fasesan Solola exclaimed with unbridled pleasure that the transformer’s presence signalled the start of the community’s transformational journey.
According to him, the transformer’s arrival and installation would not only physically brighten the neighbourhood but also represent the company’s shared dedication to development, harmony, and group well-being.
“As you can see, the installation and energization procedures have started, and the streets of Egbeda and the surrounding settlements, which were before in the shadows, now embrace the glory of light.
Fasesan said that the gesture represents optimism, growth, and connectedness while highlighting the significance of the development that the energy would bring to the neighbourhood.
He declared, “The hopes for growth and development of our town are now becoming a reality.
Chief Jelili Shogbamu, the Baale of Sokenu Village, concurred with Chief Fasesan’s remarks and emphasised that “darkness cast a shadow on our progress for years.” But as of right now, Crestline Properties Nigeria Limited has not only brought light to our neighbourhoods but also sparked hope in our hearts.
Chief Sodimu Lukman, the community’s Area Community Chairman, also spoke at the event and stated, “This accomplishment is a monument to the strength of partnership. Together, we overcame the struggle of the dark and came together in the transformational light.
