Chidiebube Okeoma, an Imo State-based journalist, has asked for a thorough inquiry by the state command after his mother, Mrs. Patricia Okeoma, was brutally murdered by one Amos Ike.
Okeoma bemoaned the Okigwe Police Division’s inability to pursue the matter in a plea to Mohammed Ahmed Barde, the Imo State Commissioner of Police.
He has already demanded that the case file be sent right away to the state police command’s criminal investigation department.
He claims he wants the case file given to the state CID so they may conduct a comprehensive investigation into his mother’s murder.
Amos Ike is accused of killing his mother, Mrs. Patricia Okeoma, on August 24 when she was returning from a funeral ceremony in Anara, in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, according to a plea filed by his attorney, Uche Nwoha.
He continued by saying that Ike followed his mother on the road in his RX Lexus car as part of what he called a “ritual plan,” which resulted in his mother being knocked to the ground.
Ike allegedly stole his car after the event and fled for five days, all the while his mother passed away, according to Okeoma.
He maintained that the car hit was an intentional act by Ike.
