Elon Musk, who owns the microblogging network X (formerly known as Twitter), has said that audio and video call capabilities will be introduced to the system.
This was revealed by Musk on Thursday in a tweet sent from his X account.
The tech billionaire claims that the features will be compatible with iOS, Android, Mac, and PC.
Musk said that the functions won’t need a phone number to function.
“Video and audio calls are coming to X,” he said. Works on Mac, PC, iOS, and Android. A phone number is not required.
“X is the actual world contact list. Those particular variables are special, he insisted.
Musk has made many platform modifications since assuming control of the social networking site in October 2022, including turning the blue tick mark into a feature that requires a paid subscription, introducing community notes, monetizing content, and most recently changing the company’s name to “X.”
Musk imposed temporary restrictions on the social networking site on Saturday, July 1, to address the excessive amounts of data harvesting and system manipulation.
