According to the Y2023/2024 Harmonised Academic School Calendar that has been approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Basic Education, the Lagos State Government has ordered all schools up to the Tertiary Level to begin classes on Monday, September 4, 2023.
In an interview she gave on Monday in her office at the Secretariat in Alausa, the Director-General of the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), Mrs. Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, announced this and urged all schools to strictly adhere to the resumed date for the provision of high-quality and long-lasting education in Lagos State.
She also urged proprietors and school administrators to enforce strict adherence to the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, emphasising that the establishment of a secure school requires full adherence to all safety standards.
Additionally, she urged owners and school administrators to strictly adhere to the Lagos State Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. She emphasised the importance of strict adherence to all safety regulations on school grounds for the creation of a secure learning environment, as the State Government is steadfast in its commitment to the provision of high-quality education.
