A technical issue has affected British airspace, according to the nation’s top provider of air traffic control services.
According to the PA news agency, travellers boarding aircraft to return to Britain have been informed of the error.
In order to preserve safety, National Air Traffic Services (NATS) said that it was encountering a “technical issue” and had implemented traffic flow limits.
“We are currently dealing with a technical issue and have implemented traffic flow restrictions to maintain safety,” the company stated in a statement.

Loganair, an airline, advised customers that they would have delays on Monday morning due to an issue that affected air traffic control systems across the whole network.
The Glasgow-based airline said on X (previously Twitter) that the UK’s air traffic control computer systems had experienced a network-wide outage this morning.
