Nnamdi Oforboh, a former midfielder for the Flying Eagles, has left Glasgow Rangers, a Scottish Premiership team.
Oforboh transferred from Bournemouth, a Premier League team, to the Light Blues last summer.
But because he was told he had a cardiac condition, the 23-year-old was unable to play for Rangers.
His contract was terminated by the Gers without any justification being given.
According to a statement on the club’s official website, “Rangers can today announce that the club and Nnamdi Ofoborh have mutually agreed to end his contract.”
The midfielder, who signed with Rangers at the beginning of the 2021–22 season, has decided to pursue a career elsewhere.
“Nnamdi has the best of luck in the future,” said the entire Rangers Team.
Oforboh participated in the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup team for Nigeria in Poland.
For the Flying Eagles, he made three appearances during the contest.
