President Bola Tinubu would be obliged to sacrifice Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike if he proceeds with his planned demolition of properties in the FCT, according to Daniel Bwala, an advisor to Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Wike threatened to tear down houses built unlawfully in the nation’s capital on the day he took office, regardless of whose property would be harmed.
“All those individuals who are distorting the Abuja Masterplan, too bad,” he stated. It will fall down if you are aware that you have erected somewhere you shouldn’t have.
“Your house must burn down, whether you are a minister or an ambassador from anywhere in the world and you are aware that you have grown where you were not supposed to grow. Sorry, but the people who occupied our parks’ green spaces to construct must return; the parks’ green spaces must be restored. If you despise green, then you must despise yourself.
In response to the threat, Bwala urged the minister to practise humility in his work on Monday in a tweet.
“Hello sir, in case you need a refresher course, the basic needs of the residents of the FCT are: affordable healthcare facilities, access to good education facilities, clean sports and recreational facilities, an affordable transport services system and efficient and functional street lighting in the city,” he tweeted.
“You arrived in a brash and vindictive spirit, spewing fire and brimstone about title revocation and demolition. Port Harcourt is not Abuja.
“Your principal’s interests will be jeopardised if you cause disorder in the city, and he will be obliged to give up your employment. Working will teach you humility.
