The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, will disclose the results of applicants who took the West African Examination Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, in May/June 2023 on Monday.
Mrs Moyosola Adesina, Acting Head, Public Affairs, Head of National Office, announced this in a press statement provided to Vanguard.
Meanwhile, earlier in a talk with a medium, not Vanguard, Mr. Patrick Areghan, the body through the National Office of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, said that marking of the results of 1,621,853 applicants was hitch-free, even in the East where the sit-at-home policy was imposed.
“The council is working around the clock to try to beat the deadline,” he said. The school exam results will undoubtedly be made public next week. There were no issues in marking 76 subjects. Even in the South East, the sit-at-home test had no effect on our grades. The exercise went off without a hitch.”
“The school examination drew 1,621,853 candidates from 20,851 secondary schools.” A split revealed that 798,810 are men, accounting for 49.25 percent, and 823,043 are females, accounting for 50.75 percent.” Areghan elaborated.
